Success Story Upgrade for the future: Waldmann relies on DOM Zone

Herbert Waldmann GmbH & Co KG, an international manufacturer of lighting solutions, modernized its output management in 2024 and migrated from DOM Classic to the cloud-based DOM Zone. The aim was to replace manual and error-prone processes, improve the exchange of information and be able to use a modern SAP interface. The new solution now ensures more efficient, transparent and paperless document processes and was rolled out worldwide within six months.

Initial situation

The company was faced with the challenge of adapting its information exchange and document processes to an increasingly digitalized and globally networked working environment. The DOM Classic solution previously used was increasingly reaching its limits - particularly in terms of transparency, efficiency and the use of a modern SAP GUI. In order to future-proof processes and improve paperless workflows, the company decided to replace the existing solution with the cloud-based DOM Zone in 2024.

Solution and result

They decided to migrate their existing solution from DOM Classic to the cloud-based DOM Zone to ensure modern and future-proof SAP integration. The project started in April 2024 and was implemented together with Blue-Zone GmbH and the All for One Group. The solution went live at all locations worldwide in October 2024 and is now used by over 70 employees, who benefit from more transparent and efficient document processes.
